A liberal arts education is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing for fostering multi-faced interests and a curse for instilling a curiosity in nearly every subject (except mathematics). I sometimes ride a motorcycle, read insatiably, like a tidy home, bake cookies, believe in sustainability, savor good food, occasionally sew, and love playing outdoors. From welding to kayaking, my varied experiences help me convey your stories or messages better visually.
GOOD LUCK EST. 1994
After tromping around the American west with Colorado Outward Bound for 72 days in late 1993, I persuaded my boyfriend (now husband) that backpacking would be an affordable and enjoyable summer collegiate vacation. So, in 1994 we planned a trip with two other friends to the Daniel Boone Wilderness Area in southeastern Kentucky.
While packing, Brian insisted we tote along a lemon in case our filtered stream water was unpalatable. After nearly starting a forest fire cooking dinner, large spiders, cement-like oatmeal, and days hiking in insanely high humidity, we made it out with any major emergencies and our lemon still whole.
From then on, we continued bringing along a “good luck” lemon. All those lemons have been bringing us good fortune for many years, and with any luck, my streak will rub off on you.
